Nice finally beat PSG to win the Ligue 1 tie trophy. PSG suffered a disappointing defeat at the Allianz Riviera today as Nice won the match 1-0. The home team got off to a great start, with Livewire striker Amin Ghauri opening the fight on a few occasions.

Angel Di Maria saw an effort wide at the break, however, as Mauricio Pochettino’s men struggled to make several openings against a compact Nice defence. The second half was a bit more enjoyable, as Dante drove a bullet header from the Kluivert corner straight into Keylor Navas’ hands.
Both teams struggle to try and find a winner, with Nice making several choices in the process to aid in their efforts. Mauro Icardi was unlucky not to score for PSG, as a strike from inside the field went out for a corner. Kluivert moved closer to Nice’s moments, however, as the game was destined to remain goalless. In the 88th minute, Stangs swung the ball up the left side of the offense, crossing for Andy Delorte, who crashed a forceful volley past the opposition goalkeeper.
Nice was denied a penalty late in the proceedings following a VAR investigation, although it was not required in the end as the referee blew his final whistle immediately afterwards, giving Christophe Gaultier’s men a famous victory over PSG moved to another place. They were fully qualified to make the table in one game. Next, PSG will host Real Madrid in the last 16 UEFA Champions League, while traveling to Nice Montpellier next Saturday.
